Times Record News Endorses Thornberry

U.S. Representative: Mac Thornberry, the incumbent. Rep. Thornberry has repeatedly shown himself to be a man of integrity and honesty, attributes that seem to be available in limited quantity in the House. He is respected among his peers to such an extent that he is a senior member of the Armed Services Committee and of the Select Committee on Intelligence. He is a strong supporter of Sheppard and its expansion, a strong supporter of agriculture and sound energy policies and of rural America. (It's also interesting to note that long before 9-11, Thornberry had introduced legislation to bring together all federal agencies involved in national security under one umbrella organization.)
