Amarillo, Texas – Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) today announced he has filed for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives for the 13th District of Texas. The primary election will be held March 1, 2016.
“It is an incredible honor for me to represent our area in Congress. The continued support of the people of the 13th District has also given me the opportunity to serve as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.
America continues to face unprecedented national security dangers – dangers for which we must be better prepared. I will keep working to ensure that the men and women of our military and their families have the resources they need to be successful. We must stay focused on regaining our military strength and our position of leadership in the world.
As we look forward to the end of the Obama Administration, there is also a great deal of work to do here at home. Whether it is simplifying our tax code or reducing regulations, we must get our country back on track and our economy growing once again.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of the 13th District. With every vote, I try to reflect the values and views of the people I work for and give our area a strong voice in government. With your help, I will continue to fight for conservative, commonsense policies that keep America strong and free.”
